Trammell Family Reunion

Avery went to her first family reunion last weekend. It was in Morgan Mill, TX which is about an hour east of Fort Worth. On Friday, it took us about 7 hours to get there & she did great in the truck! Thank goodness since we have a 6 hour road trip to Granbury this weekend & a 4-5 hour trip next week to the Frio!

My birthday was Saturday & Jake's was this past Tuesday... We had delicious cookie cake from Misty & a yummy strawberry cake from Aunt Dicey! Thank you!

Fun Afternoon With Cody

Avery was invited to her first play time with Cody today! She has definitely taken a liking to Cody from the beginning. Could it be because he's so cute, that he loves to hug & kiss her or that they have the same color hair??? We don't know but they have so much fun together! And, Cody was so sweet to share his toys with Avery. We can't wait for Cody to come play at our house!

Jake's B-I-G 3-0 is coming up on June 9th but we had his birthday party this past weekend. We had lots of family & friends join the fiesta...thank you!!!

Memorial Weekend 2009

My sister Misty & cousin Kristen came to visit for Memorial Weekend. Avery & Ace went to the beach for the first time & they definitely enjoyed it. We found a great beach spot on Friday & went back on Saturday. We also hung out some in Port Aransas. On Sunday, we went to the Rockport Wine Festival. Fun weekend...thanks for visiting, girls!

Avery Alyn is 6 Months Old Already!

Sorry that this post is a week late but we have been on the go & I can't seem to find the time for blogging...

I can't believe that our sweet girl is already halfway to her first birthday! I have to admit that I am a little sad about this. Avery continues to amaze us each day with her adorable personality. How did we get so lucky? :) She has been trying out baby food & seems to like green beans the best. Her Daddy has been working with her on crawling...she is so close! She loves her exersaucer & the TV remote. Lately, she has been sleeping for about 10-11 hours at night. Nice! At her check up last week, she weighed 18 lbs. 8 oz. & was 27 in. This puts her in the 90th percentile! Healthy girl!

Taxi Fam

Last Saturday, I had the chance to taxi around in the T-34 plane that Jake flies when training his students & be a VT-28 "Ranger" for a day. WOW...I thought I appreciated what he did before but after that day, my appreciation went way up for all of the instructors!! The plane looks small from the outside but it's even smaller once you get in. If you are claustrophobic, don't even think about getting inside! They are equipped with air conditioning but it's definitely not like the air in your car. The flight suit was comfortable but HOT & we aren't even in the heat of South Texas summer yet! So, hats off to all of the instructors & their students! Anyway, it was a fun ride...I got to "drive" the plane & also communicate with the tower.
