Humpty Dumpty

"Mommy, I drew Humpty Dumpty!"
Not bad for a 3 year old, huh?

Happy Heart Day

Since hubby/daddy was out of town again, we spent the afternoon with Nana & the kid's Great Grandparents. The love that they have for my children makes my heart happy & I am beyond thankful!

The kids with their Great Granny or "Great Great Great Granny" as Avery calls her. She is an amazing woman & still plays with the kids like she played with my siblings & me 30 years ago. LOVE her!

Modeling her Valentine skirt I made

Wyatt was standing there saying "cheeeeeese" just waiting for me to take his pic.

This shot warms my heart...every time I ask Avery to stand with Wyatt for a picture she puts her arm around him & kisses him...and he is still cheesing!

My Valentines!

Beautiful smile just like daddy!

Opening their loot

Notice Wy in the background with his crayons. He wasn't interested in anything else...just wanted to color

"Pease!!!"

Valentine Crayons

Avery & I made heart shaped crayons out of old broken crayons. The teacher in me LOVES the ease of this project & the fact that it's a hands on lesson on recycling. :) I highly recommend this easy & fun project!

Step 1: Gather up some old crayons & a heart shaped muffin pan.

Step 2 {the most time consuming step}: Peel crayons & break into pieces small enough to fit into the hearts.
It took us a while to peel the crayons. Avery was very patient during this tedious step!

Step 3: Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until crayons have melted.

Step 4: Allow pan to completely cool & remove crayons carefully with butter knife.

Step 5: Enjoy you new {recycled} crayons!
