Happy 3rd Birthday, Avery Alyn! {Too Purpley}

We celebrated Avery's 3rd Birthday with a party at the park. The theme was 'Too Purpley!' She loves the color purple & wanted this as her theme...loved it! The guests were asked to dress in purple, which most of them did. Her big request for the party was to have purple party hats. After searching the internet & looking at several stores, I was not able to find just purple hats. So, I made them. I also made her birthday outfit. Fun! There were 50+ people at her party...thank you all for making it a special day. Avery is blessed with incredible family & friend & for that we are forever grateful.

Our little girl is becoming quite the little lady. She enjoys school, the color purple, writing, drawing, singing, reading ALL.THE.TIME, playing with Wyatt, swinging, dressing 'fancy', helping me cook & do laundry, talking on the phone, & watching Caillou. She's still a Daddy's Girl!

This is how she reacted when we sang to her. Earlier in the day she kept telling us that she didn't want everyone to sing to her & that she would be shy. Totally gets this from me...hate very much dislike being the center of attention.

Uncle Grant being a good sport, as always!

Margie & Jennifer came all the way from Corpus! Both of my children ab.so.lute.ly love these two amazing ladies. They have know them since birth & we miss them so much! I am convinced that they are angels sent down from heaven. We love you J&M!

When I asked her to sit on the bench to take some pics, she said she wanted to sit like this. What is this????

Kisses for Aunt Misty

 My goal was to get a cute picture of her to use for her thank you cards but as you can see, it didn't happen. Totally my fault! I should have taken these BEFORE the party instead of after. Super sill girl!

We decided to open gifts at home after the party with family. L.O.V.E. this idea. We have been to a few friend's parties who have done this & I must admit that I found it a bit unusual but now that we have done it, I think that we will continue! Way less stressful on everyone!

A was just as excited about the cards as she was the gifts! To hear her read each one was priceless.
